MAZE CHOICES(CHOOSE 1)
*ABC Maze:Preschool, Kindergarten : 20 Minutes
For the younger grades, we have a maze that suits just their size. Moms and dads won’t get nervous about leading their group through this one! In addition, the kids will be on the hunt for certain items throughout the maze. This maze is perfect for little feet! This maze will accommodate ideally a maximum of 26 students per session. Sessions run on average 20-30 minutes. Chaperones will be doing the corn maze with their children/students.
*Large Corn Maze: Grade School, Middle School, High School: 45 Minutes per Maze Minimum
Find out “Who Done It”….and with what murder weapon! Our traditional style is still available using the checkpoints. In each maze, are 6 checkpoints the kids will navigate with the use of their map. This offers great directional skill building while learning to navigate their map. We suggest one chaperone/teacher per 5 students. Depending on your time frame, your field trip fee has covered the use of both mazes.
This maze can accommodate many classes/schools at a time. Corn maze on average takes 45 minutes per maze. Chaperones will be doing the corn maze with their children/students.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:( WILL DO ALL)
*Pumpkinville: All classes/grades will take turns through this area: 20-30 Minutes pending class size.
Use of our Pumpkinville area is included in your field trip fee. This area includes our pedal powered cars that suit children from 5 years of age to 100 years of age. The hay fort, stone maze, checkers, bunnyville, connect four, corn hole, and farm yard train(pre-6th grade) are also hits in this area. Chaperones can play and supervise with the students! This area can accommodate a large number of students. Sessions run on average 20-30 minutes.
*Pumpkin Patch: All classes/grades will take turns through this area: 10 Minutes
Each student, chaperone, teacher can select one pumpkin from our pumpkin patch. Your field trip fee includes the cost of a pie pumpkin. We do not offer the large carving size pumpkin as it would double your field trip cost. Extra pumpkins will be charged as marked in the field. Teachers, remember to bring your plastic bags to hold the pumpkins. The pumpkins could be wet and dirty. This area can accommodate many kids at a time. Session runs on average about 10 minutes.
*Hayride: All classes/grades will take turns through this area: 5 Minutes
Hayride is your transportation to and from the corn maze.
The hayride will handle about 25-30 people pending age group.
The hayride takes just a couple minutes each way.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Food & Beverage
Concession stand is in large maze. It can be opened at the teachers’ request. Please request at time of reservation, so we can staff appropriately. We do have picnic tables available if you plan to bring lunch with you.
Thirsty Kids
The kids play hard when they come to our farm. Kids often beg for water. We do not have drinking fountains here on our farm. You are welcome to bring juice boxes, water for your students to drink. The beverage that they bring for lunch is usually not enough to last them if you have a long field trip planned.
Chaperones: 1 Chaperone/5 students minimum
We do charge for all people attending the field trip, teacher is free. We ask that chaperones keep a watchful eye while still having a great time with the students. We have created very active hands on field trip for your students to experience. With this in mind, you will be moving frequently throughout the corn maze, on and off hayride wagons, assisting with pedal cars, watching over the hay fort etc. If you have toddlers and infants that you have to watch over in addition to your group, this trip maybe a bit overwhelming for you.
Siblings that come with moms and dads always end up participating in the field trip activities, therefore will require an admission.
Weather
Our activities are outside. The maze, pumpkinville, pumpkins, hayride are without shelter from inclement weather. We will NOT cancel your group due to rain, this is your decision. We will advise your group of maze conditions if they are wet and muddy. If we have been blessed with a large quantity of rain, the fields will be muddy. New white Nike’s probably wouldn’t be my choice of foot wear, mud boots is the best choice. The corn does shelter out cold and wind. Dressing in layers is advised. Please remember this is a farm (dirt), please dress appropriately.
